Let’s Get to Know Each Other!
Although Carcoal is a business, this doesn’t mean that I’m solely business-oriented. I enjoy forming relationships and friendships with my clients. I have made friends with many of my clients and I often check to see how they are doing and meet with them. From the coffee shop owner who has a dream of selling healthy coffee to the client who wanted to start a Christian dance ministry, I always make a concerted effort to keep my clients in my circle.
We all know the importance of networking, so I always desire to befriend, communicate with, and collaborate with artists, designers, and others of the creative type. Whether you want to collaborate on a project or just meet for coffee, I am always open to meeting new people and particularly designers. I feel like we all should work and support each other with our endeavors.
At this point, you may be wondering just who exactly am I and what I do.
I am a 2017 graduate from Francis Marion University with a graphic design degree. I’m a first generation college student, a fact in which I take a lot of pride in. I’ve always been very into the arts. Whether I was doodling in my notebook, searching for rare foreign films, or just reading about different types of art, I was immersed in art. Naturally, in my junior year of college, I decided to go on that career path. I have many different goals for my life (I want to do music and work in human rights, to give two examples). I want to experience a little bit of everything!
Let’s play a quick game called Three Truths and a Lie. Guess which one is the lie?
a) I was originally supposed to be named Juanita Jeanette.
b) I was born on a Thursday in Sacramento, California.
c) I can play guitar left-handed.
d) My first book cover was for an erotic book called Spilled Milk.
Now that you know a little bit about me, I would like to get to know you a little bit. Please comment who you are and a fun fact about yourself. Also, drop your social media profiles.
